I am currently a visiting scholar working on the PaNDiv experiment, where I focus on the acidification pathway underlying nitrogen-induced changes in grassland community structure. In parallel, I am exploring whether changes in canopy structure and asymmetric light competition help regulate the establishment and persistence of unsown species in unweeded plots during community reassembly.
My research focuses on the mechanisms underlying grassland biodiversity loss under nitrogen enrichment, with particular emphasis on disentangling the roles of intensified light competition and soil acidification. A second major direction of my work is to understand trait-based mechanisms of biodiversity maintenance under changing light and nutrient environments. I am particularly interested in how plant functional traits shape species responses to altered resource availability, and how these responses influence community assembly, species persistence, and ecosystem stability.
